Cairo International Schools Maintain Athletic Venues for High School Competition

Daily Use of On-Campus Venues
Schools such as Cairo American College and AIS West schedule practices on their own grounds three to four afternoons each week between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. These sessions take place on fields, courts and in pools that support volleyball, soccer, basketball, track, swimming, tennis and additional sports offered at the same sites. Seasons run eight to ten weeks and mix home matches with travel to other member schools inside Cairo.
The same venues also host junior varsity and developmental squads, allowing younger students to train alongside varsity players without leaving the campus. This structure keeps facilities in constant rotation during the school year and reduces reliance on outside municipal fields.
Standards That Shape Facility Access
Student athletes must sign an athletic code of honor that ties continued use of practice spaces to attendance and classroom performance. Schools enforce these rules at Cairo American College and AIS West, where multiple team levels share the same infrastructure. The requirement limits overuse while ensuring the venues remain available for the full roster of sports listed in school programs.
