Bascota opened its third Cairo site this spring at Ivory Business Park in Sheikh Zayed, adding a bakery counter and all-day dining menu to the area. Drop launched a 1,100-square-metre flagship store at LMD's One-Ninety in New Cairo that stocks more than 37 fashion brands. Krispy Kreme will open its first Egyptian shop on 19 August at Arabella Plaza in New Cairo.
These additions follow a pattern of retail and food chains extending into established suburbs where many families already live and work. Residents who travel between New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed now face shorter drives for certain items instead of heading to older central districts.
Where the new spots sit
Spinneys opened its 28th Egyptian branch on 30 June 2026 inside Enawalks Mall in New Cairo's Fifth Settlement. Duck Donuts began operations on 10 February at a New Cairo address. Locally opened its largest branch so far on 22 May at District 5 in New Cairo. IWG is preparing 15 new flexible office sites across Cairo and its suburbs, four of them tied to Arabella and five to Premier Group.
The locations cluster along routes many commuters already use. Arabella Plaza and One-Ninety sit in New Cairo, while Ivory Business Park lies in Sheikh Zayed, giving residents in both corridors direct access without crossing into central Cairo.
Practical details for daily use
Krispy Kreme's arrival marks Egypt as the brand's 31st country. Drop's store size and brand count give shoppers one indoor destination for multiple labels. Bascota's menu now includes baked goods and full meals at the same counter. IWG's expansion targets hybrid workers who need short-term desks near home rather than long leases in the city core.
Residents can check opening hours directly at each site, compare prices against existing branches, and note parking at the malls and business parks. No further opening dates beyond the listed ones have been confirmed.
